On Friday July 25, 2025, the nine SMEs participating in the SUPERSTAR IMPACT BUSINESS program, funded by the Basque Development Cooperation, took part in a strategic networking session with the country’s leading financial institutions.
The event was initiated by Oxfam Burkina Faso OXFAM in partnership with ForthInvestment.
In the presence of Mr. Omer KABORE, Oxfam’s Country Director in Burkina Faso, the entrepreneurs presented projects incorporating concrete actions promoting women’s leadership, gender equality and climate change mitigation.
The session was enriched by inspiring testimonials from other SMEs supported under the Enterprises Changing Lives (ECV) program and the Agro-Industrial Fund (FAI), who shared their experiences, challenges and successes.
Among the financial institutions present were Ecobank, Banque Atlantique, Coris Meso Finance, Batitoul Maal, and Acep Burkina, who also had the opportunity to discover the products exhibited by the SMEs, arousing real interest and opening up concrete financing prospects.
The event fostered strong links and mutual understanding between financiers and entrepreneurs, creating a vital momentum towards building a more inclusive, resilient and sustainability-focused entrepreneurial ecosystem in Burkina Faso.
